Overview
Edlyn commenced practice in September 2021, following the successful completion of her pupillage under the supervision of James Ballance, Olivier Kalfon, Rosanna Foskett and Duncan McCombe.
Edlyn accepts instructions in all of Chambers’ areas of practice, including commercial disputes, civil fraud, property, company and insolvency. She is comfortable acting as sole counsel or as part of a team.
Prior to undertaking her legal training, Edlyn worked for six years at Rolls-Royce, where she gained broad experience in the aviation, shipping and energy industries and completed secondments in Singapore and the USA. Latterly, as a Commercial Manager, she negotiated and assisted with the delivery of major contracts for the supply of equipment to Hinkley Point C nuclear power station.
Edlyn read English Language and Literature at Balliol College, Oxford. She completed her GDL and BPTC at City, University of London, obtaining Distinction and Outstanding grades. During her BPTC year, she worked at City on the GDL course as a Visiting Lecturer in Contract Law. She was called to the Bar as a Stephen Chapman Scholar, the Inner Temple’s second most prestigious award.
Edlyn’s clerks are happy to discuss the terms on which Edlyn will act. In the absence of express agreement in writing to the contrary, Edlyn accepts instructions on the basis of the Bar Council’s Standard Contractual Terms for the Supply of Legal Services By Barristers to Authorised Persons 2020 (as updated from time to time).
